Tomorrow kicks off with the La Troienne at 12:26 CST. Rachel Alexandra is back and will hopefully redeem herself against Zardana. As has been remarked elsewhere, the Apple Blossom went from being the race of the year to a bit of a farce. Zenyatta was as lovely as ever, but those poor fillies she walloped yesterday were just nowhere near G1 caliber. Rags has been retired. Boo hiss waaah! Poor girl reinjured herself, so it's off to the shed. (And that's fine---I wouldn't want her to be laid up for a few months only to re-reinjure herself or break down.) She's going to Giant's Causeway which seems like a nice match.
